I don’t know how inspired is this title, but I can’t think about anything else than a journey through stars…or a thrilling ride like the one that you can enjoy in the game Crysis, when inside the cave system(although the effect seen there is quite different, and I am going to remember and write a different tutorial for that). Anyway, we’re here to learn some new Photoshop things, and not to talk about games, so let’s see how easy can be to create an image like the one below, shall we?

Since the title says it all, take a look at the result below, and if you like it, fire up Photoshop and prepare to learn how to do it yourselves!

Most tutorials I’ve seen about cutting text from an image involve working with two documents, more layers, sometimes even layer masks… but there’s a really simple method to do this, and today I want to share it with you. Below, you have a possible result achieved by applying this technique, but you can let your imagination run free and obtain different results(unfortunately, you’ll end up using more layers, masks, and so on…so let’s keep it simple, shall we?)…

Today we’ll have a two-parts tutorial, but both parts are going to be very simple. Since you can see the result below, I won’t add anything else at this time, apart from “start up your Photoshop and prepare for the lesson”…

The word of the day is “rust”, but don’t worry about any metal objects you have around, because all there is to know about rust is how to create it… in Photoshop, of course!
