Today, I’ll show you how to create what can be seen in the image below. Because this isn’t quite a 4-steps tutorial, I’ll cut the introduction and get straight to work!

I don’t know how inspired is this title, but I can’t think about anything else than a journey through stars…or a thrilling ride like the one that you can enjoy in the game Crysis, when inside the cave system(although the effect seen there is quite different, and I am going to remember and write a different tutorial for that). Anyway, we’re here to learn some new Photoshop things, and not to talk about games, so let’s see how easy can be to create an image like the one below, shall we?

Abstract images can be very interesting, or not, depends on the eye of the watcher, of course, but the best part is that you can achieve astonishing results with only a few minutes of work. After all, when creating new things in Photoshop, the post processing part takes up most of the time, but let’s cut that talking and start working!

The tutorial about creating a nebula needed some stars, and I promised to give you this part too. Well, I don’t want to keep you waiting, so today I decided to show you how to create a basic star field. It may not be something outstanding, but it’s a good foundation for a lot of projects involving stars/space/planets, so here we go…

What you can see below is the real photo of a nebula. Looks amazing, isn’t it? Well, some may say it doesn’t, but that’s not the point. Creating such an image in Photoshop from scratch is easier than you may think, and this is exactly what we’ll learn today…
