Sometimes, things that can be created in Photoshop can’t get a proper name, because if 3 different people would look at those works, they would see at least 2 different things inside them. Well, in today’s tutorial, I will show you how to create some fireworks, but if you see something different in the image below… than we’ll learn to create whatever you see there!

1. Open a new Photoshop document, using any settings you want. As usual, you can check mine below as a reference.

2. Use the Gradient Tool to draw a diagonal gradient. The result should be similar to the next screenshot…

3. Now, apply the Ripple filter with 999%, medium as settings.

4. Next step, we apply Glowing Edges, using 3, 20, 1 as settings.

5. Press Ctrl+U and add the color you want by playing with the Hue/Saturation settings. See my settings below, for obtaining Blue.

6. Now, go to Filter>Stylize>Wind, and use any direction you want as setting, just be sure to have Wind checked, not Blast or Stagger. Press Ctrl+F at least 2 or 3 times, until your image looks like the one below…

7. Now, you have to use Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates. Depending on the setting you are going to choose, your result should look like the image from the beginning of this article, or like the one below, which is also a good result, in my opinion!
