There are lots of tutorials about creating fire. Here is a simple and efective one, that even a beginner in Photoshop can use to achieve the desired effect.
2. Select Dodge Tool and set it to Midtones. Dodge to lighten the red, then using the Smudge Tool make the fire bend to different heights and curves.

3. Dodge again (this time set the Dodge Tool to Highlights) then, with the Brush Tool, add some yellow and orange.

4.Smudge to make the colours blend in.

5. Dodge some more and you’re done.

If you make the fire in an seperate layer… You can later pull a color mask above it to chang colors…
Don’t forget to put a divider between BG and Fire…
